Speed Engineering LS Swap Headers - Mid Length

WILL NOT SHIP TO CALIFORNIA

Speed Engineering headers are made out of 304 stainless steel and offer great quality, performance, and affordability. These headers are mandrel bent, tig welded, and feature natural stainless steel construction, and they have all been dyno proven. Speed Engineering stands behind their headers in saying you will not find a better fitting, quality built, budget header for your vehicle.

Other improved features over competitors include V-Band collector construction, merge spikes, port matched flanges, and improved header to block/chassis clearance.

Features include:
  • Mandrel Bent Tubing
  • Full 1 5/8" Primaries
  • 2 1/2" Collector
  • V-Band Collector Construction
  • Collector Merge Spikes
  • Port Matched Flanges

Excellent product

Out of the box these seem like very high quality. They have very thick flanges and the wall thickness of the tubing seems more than adequate. I installed the headers on an LS swapped c1500 and the only figment issues I had were that I had to re-route my hydraulic clutch line and I had to remove the drivers side tin heat shield. Factory straight boot plug wires will interfere with header tubes on 2-3 of the cylinders so wires with angled boots are a necessity. My only complaint about the headers is that I wish the v-bands were stepped to ensure a concentric fit. Not a huge deal but it would make fitting up the rest of the exhaust a little easier.
